Small press day – Gosh! comics
Chicken Rex model
Chicken Rex was a character in Necessary Monsters, a book I worked on with Daniel Merlin Goodbrey and it was unlisted by 1First Comics.
I’ve been working on a polymer clay version of this character and some of the others in the book.
What do you think?
Sketchbook
There is a new page on the Phatcomics site
Sketchbook will be the home of drawings, starting with some inky sketches of monsters.
First sculpt
This is my first completed sculpture using Polymer clay. Steep learning curve, for sure. I have been building models using toys and car boot crap. I wanted to re-create elements of this finished models into smaller works.
Early days …
The Ruin
After a lengthy gestation period, The Ruin is now a completed work. It will be available next month. Further details soon.
The Harvest
The Harvest – A new comic I’m going to be pitching to Strip for Me, for the A pocket Chiller series. It’s an amazing title with some really talented contributors. Have a look at these hot title’s.
Healthy?
Next month there will be a new Life’s a Party. Healthy? Will be an exploration of all things medical I’ve experienced over the years. It’s going to be a fun issue. More updates soon. In the meantime, some unlettered pages for your eyes.
Bubble people – goodbye
The Bubble people are leaving Brew tomorrow. It’s been a great two weeks. Thanks Tom, Bren and Evie.
Here is a few images from the exhibition.
Return of the Bubble People – March 02-16 @BREW
The Bubble people lived in a home on Prospect street, then evil property developers kicked them out and closed the building. After a year of hiding in the pages of a screen printed comic book, they’re back. On canvass, in frames and with new family members who exist in 3D.
It’s a spectacular return!
Hosted at the amazing space known as Brew, The return of the Bubble People is an exhibition that no-one should miss.
Come to Brew and meet the Bubble People family.
